SUMMARY:MET workshop - 18th century Quebec blanket chest -- Part 2
DESCRIPTION:We will continue this project\, now with a focus on the trim.  Samm Brockhurst will demonstrate how she makes mouldings using a Dremel. \nThe base of your chest should be finished (glued).  It will be up to you to do the the final finishes on your chest. If you would like to seal it at this workshop\, you will also need to have completed the lid (Karen will provide sealer). If you plan to finish the inside of your trunk\, then the compartment should also be completed. \nPlease bring: \n\nYour blanket chest\nA cutting mat\nA pencil\, small metal ruler and eraser\nA knife\, and if you have it\, a saw and miter box\nGlue\nFine sandpaper\, paint brush\, palette (or plastic container lid)\, water cup and paper towel if you want to seal your piece in the meeting\n\n
